This is a really nice story--you might even find that it's a coming of age story. Over the next week or so, I encourage you to keep your fiction reading practices in shape by reading and annotating this story---oh, but remember, background helps. This story deals with Native American characters living on a reservation. It would be good to get some background on reservations. Check out this link:
